The worst of the worst has happened.  Jin Woo knows the secret!  What is going to happen?  Is he going to do the mature and proper thing by telling his father immediately that there is an impostor in his midst?  More importantly that there is a 18 year old kid running the company and making big important decisions worth millions of dollars?
This episode focuses more on COMFO and the decisions that will determine the company’s future, but as boring and dull as this sounds, episode 14 pulls a few surprises and plot twists on us, some that are risky and some that are definitely exciting.
King Of High School Episode 4

Director Yoo discovers Min Suk in his school uniform on the elevator at COMFO. We then find out that Director Yoo had been following Min Suk’s every move all along and checking up on him, whether that’d be when Min Suk got home from work or him spending some time with Deok-hwan and Tae Suk. Director Yoo questions Min Suk’s motives and intentions, but leaves without getting any answers from Min Suk for he knows that Min Suk won’t be able to continue this fraud for much longer anyways. Min Suk chases after Director Yoo to talk, but it is already too late.
Min-seok calls an emergency meeting with Soo-young, Team Leader Kim, and Director Han. He tells them the bad news, drawing on a mixture of clichés and English: “The water has been spilled. The bus has already departed… Game over.” Team Leader Kim suggests that they prepare for the worst-case scenario, which is Jin-woo going directly to the president with the truth.
While driving back home, Team Leader Kim conveys his thoughts to Managing Director Han that he’s a bit suspicious of Soo Young who continues to protect Min Suk’s identity. He feels as if there’s something going on between them. But his speculation is quickly brushed off by Managing Director Han who states that Soo Young won’t fall in love with a high schooler. But right at that moment, they spot Min Suk and Soo Young walking together while holding hands towards a motel to which they both start to freak out.
1402
Min Suk is uncertain as to what he should do to prevent Director Yoo from revealing his identity. Should he just beg? And what about his older brother Hyung Suk? How much longer will Min Suk have to pretend to be him? Min Suk grows frustrated and annoyed, but he does feel thankful to have his girlfriend by his side supporting him. He lays his head on her shoulder after expressing gratitude, but almost falls when Soo Young shifts position to prevent the physical contact. “No physical contact!” she yells before walking away.
The next morning at COMFO, Team Loyalty, Min Suk, President of COMFO, and Director Yoo all enter the same elevator. Director Yoo teases them a bit and starts talking about Min Suk’s age and how good it must be to be young. President of COMFO doesn’t think too much about what Director Yoo is trying to convey, but the rest of the Loyalty Team is scared to death that Director Yoo is going to reveal Min Suk’s secret. Overwhelmed and infuriated, Min Suk chases Director Yoo into his office and encourages him to just spill the news, but Director Yoo has no intentions of doing so for then it wouldn’t be too fun. Director Yoo continues to make fun of Min Suk for his age as evident when he tells Min Suk that he has some games on his laptop that he can play or when he reminds Min Suk to speak formally to him.
1403
Director Yoo exits out of his office to head somewhere only to be interrupted by an unsettled Soo Young who has chased after him to ask him to do her a favor: to please not expose Min Suk’s true identity. Director Yoo learns from Soo Young that she already knows that Min Suk’s a high schooler which confuses him even more. Why is Soo Young in love with a high school student? But Soo Young answers that she fell in love with him before she knew so it’s not like she could have forced herself to stop loving him after she discovered his secret. She pleads for him to not tell anyone anything, but Director Yoo can’t promise Soo Young anything.
President of COMFO yells at all the executives in a meeting over some projects that they are all having a disagreement with. Conflicted, he asks Min Suk on his opinion on the issue, but Director Yoo saves a panicked and confused Min Suk by interrupting and giving his opinion so that Min Suk won’t have to say anything.
It’s time to go home so everyone in the Retail Team heads home except for Soo Young and Min Suk. Min Suk asks Soo Young to join him for dinner, but she refuses to and lies that she has to meet up with her mother who has made a surprise visit. Min Suk leaves without feeling too butt-hurt and without knowing that the real reason Soo Young can’t go with Min Suk is because she had received a text from Director Yoo asking to meet.
While walking back home, Dae-han and Yoon-joo notice Soo Young and Director Yoo in the same car driving somewhere. They grow a bit suspicious and also comment that the couple seems like a bit weird combination, but Yoon Joo feels as if that would be the same thing people would say about them two too. Haha.
1404
Director Yoo and Soo Young goes to visit Director Yoo’s mother in the hospital again since she had requested to meet Soo Young once more. To thank her for the red bean porridge last time, Director Yoo’s mother hands Soo Young a gift that Soo Young is reluctant to accept but does in the end. Director Yoo’s mom encourages her son to take Soo Young out to dinner so they leave to go dine at a restaurant.
When at the restaurant, Soo Young brings up the topic of Min Suk again, but Director Yoo wishes to not talk about him at dinner. So they eat and eat until Soo Young receives a text from her boyfriend who wonders where she is. She texts him back before continuing to stuff herself with some food. Director Yoo pretends that he has to make a call to someone so he heads out of the restaurant to do so, but once he gets outside, he observes Soo Young through the window quietly.
1405
Soo Young falls asleep in Director Yoo’s car on the ride back home so he stops by the road to let her get her rest. He stares at her like she’s the most beautiful thing in the world while in the car. But to not interrupt her sleep, he steps outside of his vehicle and paces back and forth on the street while sneaking glances at Soo Young every once in a while to check up on her.
1406
The next morning at work, Min Suk joins his Retail Team members in the lobby who are discussing about the new collaboration that COMFO is going to be involved with. Because of this new collaboration, there will be new COMFO branches in Hong Kong, Singapore, and China so new Team Leaders will need to be recruited. They move on to talk about Soo Young and Director Yoo who Dae-han and Yoon Joo spotted together the day before. Min Suk leaves the crew right when he hears this while the rest stays behind to talk about Soo Young and Director Yoo. But then they start growing suspicious of Dae-han and Yoon Joo who were the only ones who witnessed Director Yoo and Soo Young together. Yoon Joo lies that they just happened to bump into each other, but Dae-han declares out loud in front of everyone that he loves Yoon Joo and that they’re seeing each other. Yoon Joo adds that Dae-han’s a good kisser which is why she chose to date him.
Min Suk confronts Soo Young on the whole ‘I’m-meeting-my-mom’ thing and reveals that he knows she met up with Director Yoo. When asked on what her intentions were, she states that the most important thing was to keep Director Yoo quiet so Min Suk realizes that they met up because of him. Upset, Min Suk marches out of his office and to the President’s office to reveal everything, but is stopped by Team Leader Kim and Soo Young and later on Managing Director Han who are trying their best to hold him back. They bring him out onto the balcony to talk, but Min Suk is too annoyed and frustrated to discuss anything. Soo Young attempts to get Min Suk to calm down by doing some aegyo, but this just makes Min Suk even angrier. He asks for a hug as that’s the only way he’ll calm down, but Soo Young just runs away.
1408
Director Yoo leaves work early after falling sick and ill. He takes a few pills to help relieve himself before laying down to rest.
Soo Young finally opens the gift that Director Yoo’s mom had given her and finds a necklace laying in the box. She meets up with Director Yoo outside of his apartment building to return the gift, but finds herself trying to catch Director Yoo from falling who can’t seem to find his balance. They rush to the hospital where we find out that Director Yoo had taken too many pills because of insomnia. Worse yet, he took them while drinking alcohol so that’s a biiiiiggg no-no. The doctor advises Soo Young on what she should do to help him recover quickly before leaving. Min Suk meets them at the hospital to help Soo Young out and together the three of them arrive at Director Yoo’s apartment safely. Min Suk grows jealous when Soo Young attempts to cook Director Yoo some porridge so he volunteers to do it since he doesn’t want to see his Soo Young do it.
1410
Yoo Ah, Deok-hwan, and Tae Suk are all eating at Tae Suk’s restaurant. When Deok-hwan leaves to go use the restroom Tae Suk and Yoo Ah are left alone. It turns out that Yoo Ah is still struggling to move on and to accept things. Tears begin to form in her eyes so Tae Suk tries to comfort her by patting her on the head and motivating her with words.
Soo Young leaves Director Yoo’s apartment to head back home to take care of Yoo Ah so Min Suk volunteers to stay with Director Yoo. He changes into Director Yoo’s clothes that he finds are too long and big for him and also massages Director Yoo as the doctor had advised. He ends up sleeping with Director Yoo that night.
1410
The next morning, after Director Yoo discovers that he had slept with Min Suk overnight, they both join each other for breakfast. Director Yoo leaves for a short while to do something so Min Suk is all by himself in the kitchen eating the porridge he made the night before. However, when Director Yoo’s phone starts ringing, he answers it only to hear President of COMFO yelling at who he believes is his son for requesting to see some financial records. He asks if this is his revenge for deserting his mom and how he could do such a thing to his own father which confuses and surprises Min Suk even more. Director Yoo returns to take his phone away from Min Suk and speaks to his dad on the phone.
Director Yoo is aware that Min Suk was on the phone with his dad so they reach a compromise: Min Suk won’t reveal Director Yoo’s secret if he doesn’t reveal Min Suk’s secret. It’s as simple as that. Of course he relays the message to his loyal team who are very curious as to what the deal between them was, but Min Suk isn’t willing to expose any details.
1411
While having lunch together, Min Suk learns that Soo Young had already known that Director Yoo is the President’s son. But how did she know? It must have been because she had a close relationship with Director Yoo, that’s how. So Min Suk warns Soo Young to never see him again or else he’s going to punish her by giving her a peck on the head.
The Retail Team members are all discussing about the collaboration between COMFO and Pavo Asia (another company) and how one or two members from each team will be recruited to be the new team leaders. They start mumbling words in different languages and even recites prayers in English at the thought of traveling to Asia. Omg. I died when one of the female employees was like, “Our father, who art in Heaven.”
Soo Young receives a phone call from Director Yoo who requests to meet outside of her house. He’s in desperate need of someone to talk to, especially after listening to his father rant about his miserable life and being asked to leave, so he asks to meet up with Soo Young to talk. Soo Young has no choice but to do so as Director Yoo states that he won’t leave until he sees Soo Young.

Poor Jin Woo is hilariously uncomfortable with Min Seok's invasion of his personal space, but Min Seok tells him to be quiet, wash up, and eat the food he made for him so he can leave.  Just as Min Seok begins to eat Jin Woo's phone begins to ring with a call from the president.  Answering it, assuming it is because of work, he is surprised to find out Joo Win's birth secret.  I loved the smile that came across his face as he agreed that he would keep Jin Woo's secret if he kept his underage high school secret.  These two are such great frenemies and I really hope they develop a better relationship.

We end the episode with the discovery that Min Seok's missing brother is heading the company that just signed a contract with Comfo (still hating the company name 14 episodes later).  Now I am not a genius, but I am taking a wild guess that this does not mean good things for Comfo's future.  It will be interesting to see where Min Seok's loyalty will lie.  With his estranged brother or with the company who consists of people that have become his friends.  I am assuming that his loyalty is going to cause problems for his brother's revenge plans.

Savvy returns with more of what it does best – a nice balance of comedy, zippy romance, and heart within a moving plot. Min-seok realizes that his time in the office isn’t all for naught, as he gains a zany yet valuable support team that’s willing to stay loyal by his side. It’s wonderful to see that Min-seok’s pain is a shared pain and that he’s got someone willing to lift him back up when he falls. But the reveals are coming fast, and hopefully, his team has enough steam to cover his tracks.
Min Suk and Soo Young have finally kissed and made up, though Soo Young still has reservations about dating Min Suk while he’s in high school. The President finds Min Suk’s Dad and tries to atone for past sins. Meanwhile, Jin Woo gets closer and closer to finding out the truth about Min Suk’s identity and intentions.

I love the development of all the side characters as they are slowly pulled into the gravitation pull of Min Seok's orbit.  Min Seok is one of those characters that seems to change those around him.  For example, we see his two handlers slowly become less of adult handlers and instead become minions/friends.  They are constantly splitting their time throwing their hands up in the air and wailing about Min Seok's actions and worrying about him like mother hens.  I loved the scene where Team Leader Kim comes in and starts crying to Min Seok, that he should not worry about his future. That he would take responsibility for Min Seok and get him a job at his brother-in-laws sports club. Then there was a lot of hugging and cheek smooches going on. And when the two minion handlers discover that Soo Young knows the "secret" they get super duper cute and form a little club that is designated to keeping Min Seok's identity safe.  It was hilarious how into the secret group everyone was, even going to the point of a quick cheer for loyalty.  Poor Min Seok was sitting back in embarrassment but reluctantly goes in for a quick cheer.  I think it is interesting that this group is very similar to the interaction between Min Seok and his high school buddies.

King Of High School Episode 13
HSKoS EP 13 - Papa Choi
We start off with something a little different with this episode. Papa Choi is at his dry cleaning store, reading some information on rehabilitation medicine, when the President actually walks in. While he tries to talk casually, Papa Choi continues to angrily ask what right he has to even mention Lee Jung Soo (father of Min Suk, who was apparently the former President) and demands he leave. I wonder what the President could have done that was so terrible.
Min Suk arrives at work with presents for everybody to make up for his many absences. Now that Min Suk and Soo Young are on good terms again, Min Suk proceeds to make kissy faces at her through the blinds in his office. How the rest of the employees miss these obvious exchanges is beyond me. Soo Young quickly tells him that until he graduates she doesn’t want a romantic relationship, saying that they have to draw the line somewhere.
HSKoS EP 13 - Foursome
Team Leader barges in and finds out that Soo Young knows about Min Suk being a fake, which he’s glad to hear. He also expresses his sadness at hearing of Min Suk’s injuries and insures him that he’ll help him get a job after he graduates. Aww, Team Leader really does care about Min Suk. Managing Director comes in then, and this new foursome huddles together to swear loyalty.
The Jung household has finally lost its uncomfortable air now that Yoo Ah has accepted her fate. She even realizes how crazy it was to follow Min Suk around when he never gave any indication of liking her back. All in all, she takes it quite well and the sister bond seems to be mending. In a great gender switch, Soo Young actually begs Yoo Ah to punch her because she feels so bad.
HSKoS EP 13 - Jelly
Soo Young begins showcasing her awesome secretary skills as she helps Min Suk make it to both the Breakfast Meeting and his school exam on time. At school, Yoo Ah comes up to the trio and checks on Min Suk to make sure his shoulder is feeling okay before telling Tae Suk that she’ll agree to go out with him since he’s so crazy about her.
In the Elevator of Awkward, Min Suk and Soo Young are talking and flirting when Jin Woo gets in. Min Suk immediately grabs Soo Young’s hand and holds it tight. But Jin Woo can’t accept defeat, and states his intentions to continue caring about Soo Young. It’s funny to see Min Suk admitting later that he was very petty.
They run into Gramps at the store and go back to their house to eat a little before putting Gramps to bed. Soo Young wanders into Min Suk’s room and he rushes ahead of her to hide his dirty underwear; except she incorrectly assumes that he was hiding porn, haha. She discovers that Min Suk had been keeping the weird moss thing for her and it’s been growing. As they brush the plant, their fingers touch and the mood instantly changes. Min Suk stutters out that she should take the plant with her when she goes and then leaves to make some drinks for them.

Soo Young starts flipping through a photo album and sees a nude picture of Min Suk when he was a baby. She insists on having it to keep and he tries pulling it away from her; they go back and forth and then, through the kdrama cliché gods, Soo Young ends up on top of Min Suk. They’re both flustered, and after Soo Young moves, Min Suk criticizes her for being a “lustful grandma.” This show. Soo Young persuades Min Suk to help her exercise, too.
HSKoS EP 13 - Fruits basket
It was heartbreaking to watch Min Suk take down all of his hockey pictures and trophies. He even tried to throw them away, before ultimately deciding to keep them. Soo Young looks up the stretches needed for the rehabilitation of Min Suk’s injury and sneaks them into their workout session the next morning. When her short clothes show her stomach as she’s exercising, Min Suk runs over and pulls her shirt down only to have her swat him away with a reminder of no physical contact. Irritated, Min Suk fake punches her when she looks the other way. Poor Min Suk and his sexual frustrations.
In another attempt to atone for whatever sins he’s committed, the President sends a gift basket and money to Papa Choi. He stalks into the President’s office and rips up the check in front of him, warning him not to butt into their lives. He leaves just as Jin Woo and the lackey are approaching. The lackey informs Jin Woo that he used to be Lee Jung Soo’s chauffeur, and that Lee Jung Soo himself used to be partners with the President. He says that Lee Jung Soo had troubles in business because of the President and ended up killing himself. Then, shortly after, his wife died. Jin Woo does some research and receives a text from Yoo Ah telling him to meet with her.
HSKoS EP 13 - Hook
Soo Young makes Min Suk meet her again to work out. By this point, Min Suk can see what she’s doing; he eventually snaps and yells at her for not being able to face reality and see that it’s impossible for him to play hockey again. He further explains that even when his Mom and Dad died, and his brother left him, that he didn’t hope for impossible things.
Yoo Ah meets with Jin Woo to repay the money he lent her earlier. Unfortunatley, Tae Suk and Duk Hwan happen to be walking by and see the exchange. Tae Suk storms in and grabs Jin Woo, but Yoo Ah hurriedly tells them Jin Woo works with her sister and they apologize. As Jin Woo leaves, he sees Papa Lee with Min Suk and you can almost see the wheels turning inside his head. It looks like he believes “Hyung Suk” is there to get revenge on the President for his father’s suicide.
HSKoS EP 13 - up kiss
The next day, Soo Young is a bit hesitant around Min Suk. Meanwhile, Jin Woo finds out and then tells his father that Lee Hyung Suk is the son of Lee Jung Soo. The President says he’ll take care of it and later invites Min Suk to lunch. He inquires about Min Suk’s parents and how they died. Min Suk easily divulges everything he knows, which is not much.
Soo Young asks Min Suk to meet her at the park. Though she had told him earlier of her deep fear of flipping over the bars at the park, she does it in front him, showing him that things that you think are impossible can happen. Min Suk is so touched that he reaches out and kisses her. Hopeful, he puts all of his hockey pictures back up in his room and goes to the coach and asks to play one more time.
Jin Woo welcomes a distant friend back to Korea; one who had previously worked with Hyung Suk on a project in Germany. When they run into Min Suk in the hall, though, he obviously doesn’t recognize the man. Min Suk is later taking the elevator in his building while dressed in his school uniform and when the doors open, Jin Woo is standing there, smirking. He has finally figured out that Hyung Suk is, in fact, high school student Min Suk.

HSKoS EP 12 - Instagram shot

Even more heartbreak! Min Suk gets tragic news that affects his life in a big way, while Soo Young decides that moving to a new house will give her a fresh start. Jin Woo keeps pulling Soo Young into his life, with help from Yoo Ah, who continues the uncomfortable tension with her sister. It’s a happy ending this time around, though, so the fun and crazy King Of High High School should be returning to us very soon.
Honestly, I’m getting a sick of this unending rivalry between Min Suk and Jin Woo. I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy.
So we left off with the beginnings of another fight between Min Suk and Jin Woo as they continue to fight over Soo Young. Before it can get physical, Soo Young separates them and then hurries away. Jin Woo reminds Min Suk that he gave him a warning that he’d be doing what he felt like in regards to Soo Young. Best part though: Jin Woo gets in his car and beeps at Min Suk, who has to get out of the way so fast that he steps in a puddle, which results in him swearing up a storm. I love it when they go on a swearing spree, it’s so hilarious, especially since other kdramas never do it.
HSKoS EP 12 - Watermelon
Jin Woo goes back to see his mom at the hospital and makes a call to his father, informing him of what happened and giving him the room number should he want to visit. Soo Young is kicked out by her mother, who assumes she’s been fired, and returns to Seoul. There she runs into Grandpa again, and walks him home, only to find out that he’s Min Suk’s grandpa. Gramps insists Soo Young come in for some watermelon. Min Suk tells Soo Young how Grandpa would always talk about the “pretty unni.”
Min Suk prods her about Jin Woo, but she rightly tells him off since he has no right to be jealous anymore. Even so, Min Suk persuades her to return to work and not quit just because of him. He uses her motto, “You’re a modern woman who can draw a line between public and private matters.” Soo Young returns home to an unsure Yoo Ah, who immediately calls Jin Woo to keep him up to date on Soo Young’s whereabouts.
HSKoS EP 12 - Hospital bean
Min Suk arrives at work and is happy to see Soo Young already there. When they step into his office, she reads him the schedule for the day and demands that when it’s just the two of them that he calls her noona. Flabbergasted, Min Suk shakes his head and seeks out another person whenever Soo Young tries again to make him say it. “I’d rather die than call her noona,” he says. When she threatens to quit again, he very unwillingly addresses her as noona. He bites back right away for her patronizing, though, asking if he’s too young to know love.
Desperate to get away from Min Suk, Soo Young jumps into Jin Woo’s car when he drives up. When Jin Woo correctly assumes that Soo Young used him to escape, he asks her for a favor in return: to make his mother some red bean porridge and come with him to visit her. His mother laughs at how cute Soo Young is and marvels at Jin Woo being in a one-sided love. As they’re leaving, Soo Young see the President enter the hospital, but doesn’t mention it to Jin Woo. The President is about to enter when he sees the mother and loses his nerve at the last second, backing away.
HSKoS EP 12 - Hospital heartbreak
During a hockey game, Min Suk gets hit badly and has to have surgery on his shoulder. Though it’s nothing serious, his family, friends, and Yoo Ah all worry. Team Leader makes up the excuse that he has the flu, and Soo Young starts worrying, too. She’s also decided to move into a new house. When she stops to get some groceries, her feet wander as she’s preoccupied with her thoughts, and she ends up in front of Min Suk’s house. She overhears Dad and Grandpa talking as they leave to visit Min Suk.
At the hospital, Min Suk looks through the cute pictures he and Soo Young took on their date to the island. His Dad and Coach go to talk to the Doctor, and it turns out that though the surgery went well, Min Suk can’t play sports anymore if he doesn’t want to lose the ability to use his arm. His Dad is completely heartbroken. It’s stunned silence when the Coach reluctantly passes the information on to Min Suk.
HSKoS EP 12 - Bad dream
Soo Young gives her notice to Team Leader, assuring him that’s she’ll work for the rest of the week, but to find someone to take her place. Team Leader freaks out when Min Suk says he can’t come into work again.
Min Suk clears out his locker and gives each of his friends some of his hockey gear. Along with Yoo Ah, his friends try to cheer him up and invite him out for food. Though he smiles and puts on a brave face, Min Suk is still devastated and goes home to rest instead.
The President has a dream of Min Suk’s Dad confronting him, angrily asking how he could do something like that to someone and then live comfortably. The President desperately replies that he didn’t mean to, but Min Suk’s Dad keeps calling him a bastard and eventually tries to strangle him. The President shakes himself to wake up. How mysterious. He then receives a call from his lackey, who has found out that Min Suk’s Dad owns a laundromat and adopted Lee Jung Soo’s two sons.
HSKoS EP 12 - CRY
Duk Hwan and Tae Suk don’t want Min Suk to be alone so they buy some food and go to his house. Team Leader is already there and he finds out that Min Suk can’t play hockey anymore. Min Suk himself isn’t there though, he’s gone missing. Outside, Duk Hwan and Tae Suk let Team Leader know that they’re in on the secret. They both laugh at Team Leader for looking older than his age and Team Leader angrily points at Duk Hwan, accusing him of looking thirty-two. Oh my god, that’s hilarious, the actor is actually thirty-two in real life. They go on to make fun of the way he talks, and he yells at them in return for their free use of the company card. Eventually, he walks away, mumbling, “I hate high schoolers.”
Duk Hwan, Tae Suk, and Yoo Ah all go out in search of Min Suk. They find him running laps at the school, but realize that he needs his time alone. To compliment the moody atmosphere, it starts raining and Min Suk sits there, letting himself cry. I forget about the hockey aspect of Min Suk’s life a lot, since they don’t put as much emphasis on it. His reaction shows how important it really was to him, though, and it’s heartbreaking. Duk Hwan and Tae Suk start crying with him, and damn it, so do I.
HSKoS EP 12 - Karaoke
Min Suk later meets his Dad for some late night dinner. He has a cheery attitude and his Dad suggests that, since he has a good voice, he should become a singer or idol. After that they do karaoke, where Min Suk shows of said skills and agrees that he should be a singer.
Soo Young is beginning the packing and looks excited about moving. Yoo Ah, on the other hand, continues to be uncomfortable around her sister. As she’s leaving for school, though, she breaks down and demands that Soo Young go see Min Suk. Yoo Ah believes that Soo Young is the only one who will be able to comfort Min Suk. Wow, I’m impressed, that’s not an easy thing to say.
I’m really going to cry now. Min Suk leaves school the next day to find Soo Young waiting with her arms wide open. He walks over slowly and when he doesn’t move forward, she does, and hugs him. Soo Young admits to herself and Min Suk that it doesn’t matter what age he is: “I like you so much. I feel like dying if I don’t see you.”
HSKoS EP 12 - Best hug
After Thoughts
Yay! Min Suk and Soo Young made up and came to terms with their feelings for each other despite the age difference. Now please tell there will be more funny shenanigans from now on and less angst. I don’t think I could take much more heartbreak. It’s like it was one after another, with the reveal of his identity and to top it off, finding out that he can no longer play hockey. It hurt too much.
There were some comedic bits, though. I loved all the meta in this episode, with Duk Hwan’s age and Dad suggesting Min Suk become a singer. It’s hilarious when they throw in those little winks and nudges. It was really nice to see some family bonding time between Min Suk, Dad, and Grandpa. That scene of encouragement from Min Suk’s dad was sweet and heartwarming. It’s even better as the Jung sisters are still super uncomfortable around each other.
I’m glad that Jin Woo is changing his act and showing real compassion for others. Though it’s obviously a bit too late. It surprised me that they stopped Min Suk from being able to play hockey, I wasn’t expecting that at all. But if it had to be done, better now so we can get all of the angst over with at once. I don’t think Min Suk and Soo Young can go back to being that same happy, cute-sy couple they were before, especially with Yoo Ah there, but we’ll see. Can’t wait for more King Of High High School fun!
HSKoS EP 12 - Come to me

King of High School Episode 11 - Let the Emotional Feathers Fly

Min Seok (in his school uniform) and Soo Young stare at each other in shock as Yoo Ah comes up and hugs Min Seok's arm.  Neither acknowledge the poor stalker but eventually Soo Young runs off with Min Seok in pursuit.  He tries to explain the situation but it does not go over well.  It goes over even worse when he meets up with her later that night again trying to assure her of his love.  But when she rebuffs him he left devastated (no one can do devastated as well as Seo In Guk).
Poor Min Seok, once Soo Young finds out his real age it is hard to see past that number.  I can understand where she is coming from.  It is hard enough to be in a large age gap relationship when you actually know about it.  To find out that you were a cougar this whole time unknowingly is kind of life altering.  That combined with the whole "my whole life is a lie" aspect of her boyfriend is enough to make anyone run away.  And let's not forget the stalker girl sitting in the wings yelling at her sister every time she gets a chance.
Soo Young is understandably upset that her sister is only thinking of Min Seok and her own issues instead of how devastating it was to find out that your beloved boyfriend is really ten years younger then expected.  In true selfish teenage fashion Yoo Ah is unable to see beyond her own feelings and yells at her sister for thinking that she could have Min Seok, calling her grandma and pretty much just saying anything hateful that might hurt her Soo Young.  The tension is broken (at least for us viewers) when the two girls end up having a pillow fight before Yoo Ah storms off.  I thought it was interesting how we saw the remnants of the fight stay on the floor (the feathers from the pillow) through the whole episode.  Just another reminder that everything has fallen apart for our heroine.
Yoo Ah decides to deal with the situation by ignoring reality.  She does her usual stalker activities of giving Min Seok snacks (my heart broke seeing him so dead inside during this scene) and decides to be proactive by trying to hook her Unni up with Jin Woo.  Yoo Ah calls Jin Woo to meet her for dinner and discuss the "situation" resulting in her offer to help him with his wooing.  I still think that Jin Woo is all wrong for Soo Young, but now I have a new ship to sail from this drama.  Stalker and White Ricecake Ahjussi (aka Jin Woo) are adorable together!  I want Yoo Ah to graduate from high school and marry him asap so she can scream and take down his father a peg or two.  I never even thought of them as a possible couple until this scene.  See!  There is actually a way for me to not hate Jin Woo.  And there is even time for him to get that much needed therapy in before she is legal to marry.
Soo Young runs away to her rural home where she roams the town and pines for Min Seok.  It doesn't actually say she is pining, but I will assume she is since who would not be missing that awesome bundle of yumminess?  Yoo Ah gives White Ricecake (that nickname is awesome) the heads up on Soo Young's location and he runs off to attempt to woo her back.  All I can say is way to little to late.  You had your chance and you were a total jerk.  But at least his change of heart has allowed me to accept him as a possibility for Yoo Ah.
Soo Young politely declines Jin Woo's interest but he pulls her into a hug, again trying to change her mind.  This of course is the exact moment when Min Seok walks into the picture and his look of utmost despair just ripped out my heart.  He slowly walks away, only to burst in on the couple a few moments later dragging Soo Young off to talk. Episode 11 end with nothing resolved and the two men facing off yet again.

The heartbreak and feels that this episode evoked in me.  On one hand I knew that this was where we were heading plot wise, but knowing and feeling are two different things.  I appreciated how the writers kept the sweet feel of the drama steady by using side characters to keep the humor intact.  Grandpa shadow boxing Min Seok was so adorable and helped ease the pain of that scene and also Min Seok's handler trying to cheer him up with porn just cracked me up.  The show was able to be sad without sinking into a deep melo pit in which it can't come out. Now I just have to patiently wait for subs so I can watch Seo In Guk call Soo Young Noona.  Silly how small things like that can thrill me.

HSKoS EP 4 - tense
Four episodes into Savvy and the characters are just as fun, wacky, and heartwarming. Min Suk’s friends find out about his double identity and he bribes them with some company credit card shopping time. Jin Woo gets treated harshly by his father and the tension between him and Min Suk rises. The company freaks out when one of their projects is leaked, leading them to begin an investigation on their own employees. Lastly, Min Suk proves he is loyal to his team and will stand up for what he believes in.
HSKoS EP 4 - Moreelevatorawkward
With his friends in front of him and Director Yoo behind him, Min Suk quickly makes up a story that these high school students are cutting school and trying to sell something to him. He shoos them out the door while Jin Woo look on curiously. Outside, Min Suk tries to explain briefly but then tells them to wait. He’ll meet them when he’s off work, he has a managing meeting to go to. Ha. Weirdly, his friends don’t seem all that surprised or concerned. If I found out one of my friends was doing that I would be in shock.
Upstairs, Soo Young gets chastised for coming in late to work. Min Suk arrives and the employees are excited to see their Director who succeeded with the presentation. Min Suk tries to confront Soo Young about the bite mark she gave him when she was drunk, but she runs away. Having another one of her inner monologues, she talks about a song that she feels connected to and it starts playing in the background. Nice touch. Lamenting her life, she later steps into the elevator with Jin Woo. Only when she realizes its him she spits out the food she had in her mouth, which was some kind of powder. I laughed so hard. Jin Woo sighs in frustration as Soo Young tries to wipe him off. This girl just can’t win.
HSKoS EP 4 - Shopping
During the next meeting, Jin Woo proposes another project. Min Suk’s phone goes off, and while he’s replying he makes another comment and ends up having to give his two cents on Jin Woo’s presentation. Poor Jin Woo was just about to have succeeded with the President’s approval before Min Suk spoke against it.
Soo Young communicates with Min Suk using cute little post-it notes, as she’s still too embarrassed to face him. He’s amused, and goes along with it.
After work, he explains to his friends that he’s been acting as his brother. They yell at him, saying he probably never would have told them if they didn’t find out themselves. Traitor, they say, until Min Suk brings out the company credit card. Now that is realistic. They go out on a shopping spree, while his friends ask if there are any pretty woman at his work.
HSKoS EP 4 - Hostess
Min Suk gets a call from someone who’s looking to scout him, from a company called Sewha. They meet for dinner, along with Min Suk’s friends, and end up going to a hostess bar. Uh oh, someone notices Min Suk drinking with the Sewha man, that doesn’t bode well. Everyone gets drunk and nice Dad feeds them hangover soup while scolding them the next morning. The cool friends help Min Suk skip school, but only after Yoo Ah finally leaves them (having extracted the promise of a date from Min Suk).
At work, grumpy worker gets more of a backstory. He’s got a daughter that he’s been trying to get close to, and has to take blood pressure medication. He also covers for Soo Young when she’s late. Jin Woo’s presentation from earlier gets leaked to the press but under Sewha’s name. They start an investigation under the suspicion that it was someone from inside the company that leaked the information. One worker mentions to the President about seeing Min Suk drinking with the man from Sewha. Not good.
HSKoS EP 4 - Angryjinwoo
Min Suk’s name gets forgotten quickly, though, once they find evidence of grumpy worker downloading a confidential file after staying late at work. Jin Woo goes a little psycho and harshly interrogates him. Grumpy worker maintains his innocence, since it’s obviously not him. It’s even more unfortunate since he was supposed to say goodbye to his daughter at the airport after work and give her a necklace he’d bought as a present. He tries to leave but is stopped by Jin Woo.
Min Suk stands up to Jin Woo on his behalf. “If you’re investigating, are you allowed to speak rudely to your elder?” he asks angrily. Grumpy worker tells them to stop, he’ll go back. Really, Jin Woo, you’re crossing a line here. Min Suk stubbornly stays with grumpy worker, saying Jin Woo has no respect for people and might just beat them up. Besides, he was a strong suspect at one time so they should question him too.
HSKoS EP 4 - beer
After a while, a news report comes out that a group of hackers has been arrested. The police call to inform them that their company was one of the ones that was hacked. Min Suk and Jin Woo get in a shouting match or two before the President shows up just in time to hear the news about the hackers. He harshly scolds Jin Woo for questioning an innocent man. Jin Woo takes it for a while before speaking up. “Are you that unsatisfied with me?” he asks. The President replies, “I’m unsatisfied with your very existence.” Wow, that is cruel. No wonder Jin Woo is messed up.
Grumpy worker leaves dejectedly with Min Suk trailing behind. No worries, though, good-hearted Soo Young went to meet the daughter and gave her the gift. They decide to go out for beer together. Min Suk belatedly remembers his date with Yoo Ah and rushes off. It’s been a long time, but she’s still there waiting for him. However, what she thought was constipation turns out to be appendicitis and Min Suk has to rush her to the hospital. He calls her sister (not knowing it’s Soo Young) to tell her what happened. I was so excited that Soo Young would find out about his double identity already. But no, drama can’t have that. Min Suk leaves a note for the sister and they never cross paths. Damn.
At work, Min Suk tries to apologize to Jin Woo, who acts as if everything’s fine. Their interactions are almost as awkward as those between Jin Woo and Soo Young. Team Leader tells Soo Young that her contract won’t be renewed. Gee, I wonder if Min Suk will hire her as a secretary, what with the subtle reference to the position earlier in the episode. The preview for next week is showing more fights between Min Suk and Jin Woo which should be interesting, and the possibility that it was Jin Woo who got Soo Young fired.
